My father was always my hero, and this week I'm happy to have the opportunity to share that pride with folks around the country.  Born in January 1919, dad joined the Army in December 1941. He soon reported to Tuskegee, AL to take part in a revolutionary new project of the US Army Air Corps, and to join the ranks of a legendary group that would come to be known as the Tuskegee Airmen.

With the spotlight on the New Hampshire presidential primary fading, candidates for governor and Congress are beginning to stir after having been largely out of public sight and mind for months. But, despite a lack of attention, these campaigns have not been in hibernation and Seacoast Sunday checked in with four candidates who have been busy laying the groundwork for the 2012 election season.

As the fight continues over a slew of new voting laws passed by Republicans across the country in 2011 -- including requiring voters to present photo identification at the polls, a measure that could hurt Democrats in the 2012 presidential election -- the media and political scrum over the issue alone has caused major confusion in some key primary states.
